Planet Fitness was founded in 1992 in Dover, New Hampshire.

This led to the introduction of its “Judgement Free Zone®” concept, designed to make people of all fitness levels feel welcome, comfortable, and supported while working out.
Over time, this approach helped Planet Fitness become one of the largest and fastest-growing fitness chains in the world.
Today, Planet Fitness operates more than 2,700 locations across the United States and multiple international markets, including Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Australia.
It continues to focus on providing affordable memberships and a friendly, accessible fitness experience aimed at encouraging more people to begin and maintain their fitness journey.
